The Position
As a Senior Consultant, you will be an aspiring leader and will work alongside an experienced pool of other Data Scientists, solution architects, product owners, project managers, business analysts, software developers and AI experts. Projects will predominantly focus on (but will not be limited to) issues that clients face in the rail, highways, aviation and transportation sectors.
You will be responsible for:
• Working closely with clients to understand the challenges they face, shape these into well-defined requirements and provide analytical solutions
• Developing approaches and analyses that can be transferred across different sectors, helping clients to make better use of their data and drive intelligent decision-making
• Exploring new data sets to investigate how they can be used to realise value for clients
• Developing unique solutions to new and unsolved problems in infrastructure
• Creating and developing relationships with high-profile clients up to director level
• Taking responsibility for the delivery of particular parts of projects to meet or exceed the expectations of the client
• Deputise for Principal Consultant, when required
• Working with others on the team to develop innovative solutions to challenging problems within the infrastructure sector either on existing commissions or by attracting research and development funding
The Candidate
As a potentially suitable candidate you should have a bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM subject (or equivalent portfolio/work experience). You must have familiarity with ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch and a strong grasp of statistical inference, hypothesis testing and experimental design.
In your career so far, you will have ideally gained hands-on project experience of implementing at least 1 machine learning algorithm and will have the ability to interpret and explain complex analysis in simple terms to stakeholders and team members (expert and non-expert alike).
The business has offices across the UK and for this role you will need to be able to commute to the main office in either London, Birmingham or Manchester (on average 3 times a week).
